It's been a couple weeks since I have last posted. Sorry about that. Between looking for a new apartment and leasing a new car I really haven't had the time. What's cool though is that while looking for a new apartment I had the opportunity to have dinner with my Aunt. Matt and I were looking at one that was around the corner from where she lives. I called her and asked if we could stop and say hi. She was very excited. We wound up having homemade pizza for dinner and staying until almost 10 pm. All of us had a great time. I can check that off my list.

I also joined Planet Fitness on Monday. This is the first step in losing 20 lbs, becoming a runner, and working out three times a week goals. Did I work out three times this week? Well... no... But I did Monday and I will tomorrow (Friday). Promise.

I am also listening to Harry Potter in the car. In fact, I just finished Sorcerer's Stone. I love listening to them. The man who reads them is fantastic.

Two weeks ago we purchased a Ninja blender to use in my goal of smoothie making. The first week we had it I think we made at least 10. Currently, Matt is still making more then me, but I have been able to drink at least one a week.

I think I'm doing good so far.

Welcome! So this is my very first blog post. As you can see from the title of my blog and the list on the right hand side of the page you're reading this on, this blog is about completing a list of 30 things I have always wanted to do but put off for some reason or another, before I turn 30.

Today is May 29th, 2014. I will officially be turning 30 very soon (I'm reluctant to give the date just yet). For some reason, turning 30 freaks me out a little. I know that I am by no means old. It's just that I feel like I've spent my 20s waiting around for things to happen instead of getting off my ass and doing the things I want to do.

There are many reasons for not meeting life head on. For example, I am really good at finding any reason not to do something because I'm lazy! That's just so lame. Another example, I am slightly socially awkward. I would certainly describe myself as introverted. Most of the time, I'm happy staying home either by myself or with my boyfriend and watching Netflix or reading a book. I don't define this as living life and embracing all it has to offer.

You may read over the list that I have posted and think "Really? That's all she wants to accomplish?" Well, no. I have roughly one year to do this list but that doesn't mean that this is all I want to do with my life. Someday I'd like to get married, have a child, a home, and the ability to foster animals (our current living situation doesn't allow for this now). I'd like to do some serious traveling (Italy, Egypt). I will accomplish these goals eventually, however, for the next year I'm concentrating on this list.

Some of these things will be easy for me to do (visit Corning Museum of Glass, reread Harry Potter) and others will take some more time and commitment (become a runner, go vegan, lose 20 lbs). Rest assured, this will be a fulfilling and enlightening year.
